Who handles your data

The data controller is Santiago Vacas Valenzuela, tax ID 75937538W, registered address Calle Argollones 13, 3º · 04004 Almería, owner of the registered holiday home VUT/GR/014830 in Salobreña (Granada, Spain). You can get in touch at info@apartamentoseng.com.

What we process, and why

  • Booking and stay (name, email, phone, country, dates and number of guests): to manage your booking and be in touch with you. Legal basis: performance of the accommodation contract.
  • Payment details: payment is processed by Stripe; your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches our servers. We keep only the charge reference and, to charge the balance of your stay, the reference of the payment method held by Stripe. Legal basis: performance of the contract. Stripe's policy: stripe.com/privacy.
  • Traveller registry: Spanish law (Royal Decree 933/2021) requires registering the details of every person staying (identity, document, date of birth, sex, nationality and home address) and reporting them to the Ministry of the Interior. You provide them through your personal check-in link; they are stored encrypted, used only for that obligation and deleted after three years. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
  • Accommodation contract when signed through a link: name, document, email, IP address and time of signature, which are the trail that gives the electronic signature its validity. The document is stored encrypted. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legitimate interest in evidencing it.
  • Contact form (name, email, dates and message): to reply to you. Legal basis: your prior request and our legitimate interest in answering it. If you do not end up booking, the message is kept for a year.
  • Transactional email: the booking confirmation, receipts and stay notices are sent by email to the address you give when booking.
  • Messages with the property: conversations held through the portal you booked on, or by email, are kept alongside your stay so we can help you and keep a record of what was agreed.
  • Reviews: we publish guest reviews from Airbnb and Booking.com on this site, with the first name and the literal text, unaltered. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing the opinion of real guests. If a review is yours and you do not want it here, write to info@apartamentoseng.com and it is taken down immediately.
  • Access to the home: the door has a video intercom and a digital peephole, which log calls and detections for access security — knowing who comes in while the home is empty, and being able to let you in if your phone dies or the code fails. That log includes an image of the moment, which is deleted after 30 days and is not used for anything else nor shared with anyone unless the law requires it. There are no cameras inside the home. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting access. If you want access to an image you appear in, write to info@apartamentoseng.com.

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies, nor does it profile its visitors. Only the technical cookies the site needs to work are used; at the payment step, Stripe additionally uses its technical fraud-prevention cookies (__stripe_*), equally exempt from consent.

Who we share it with

  • Stripe (payment gateway), to charge the booking and handle refunds.
  • Beds24 (channel manager), where the home's calendar and basic booking data live.
  • IONOS (email and hosting), to send you your stay communications.
  • OpenStreetMap, when you open the map on the location page: it receives your IP address in order to serve the map images.
  • The Ministry of the Interior, for the mandatory traveller registry (RD 933/2021).
  • Public administrations, where the law requires it.

International transfers: Stripe and some email services may process data in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, failing that, on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You can ask us for a copy of those safeguards at info@apartamentoseng.com.

How long we keep it

Booking data is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the tax limitation periods (four years). Traveller registry data is kept for three years (the period set by Royal Decree 933/2021) and then deleted automatically. Door images are deleted after 30 days. Contact form messages, one year.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@apartamentoseng.com.
